Welcome to Wild Type Learning

A space for children and families to cultivate a deeper connection with nature, themselves, and one another.

At Wild Type Learning, we offer immersive outdoor programs that support the whole child through mindful movement, sensory-rich exploration, and relationship-centered learning. Rooted in nature and designed for a new generation, our approach nurtures emotional awareness, resilience, and joy of learning - held gently in the heart of the forest.

Our programs serve children ages 2–7 along with their caregiver, and embrace all learners. Each experience is guided by a weekly nature-based science theme, inviting meaningful play, movement, and connection through hands-on exploration, music, games, storytelling, and creative expression. Set entirely outdoors, our nature-based curriculum honors the rhythms of childhood while engaging the senses, sparking curiosity, and fostering community.

We believe that when children are free to explore, feel, and move with intention in a living landscape, they remember who they are and their place in the web of life. Our mission is to help young children and their families cultivate lasting relationships with the natural world and their inner world - grounding them in awe, stewardship, and a sense of belonging.

As Wild Type Learning continues to evolve, we remain rooted in our core belief: that whole, healthy, inspired humans begin at the roots - in the foundational years from birth to age seven - and from there, growth happens naturally.
